To my loyal followers, I’ve just stepped out of a committee meeting and tonight we are putting it all on the line. We can’t bear to watch any more. These fires are just too terrible. They have impacted so many wildlife, precious wildlife that tonight we are asking for your desperate help.
The fires in the Yandabup and Wanneroo areas of Western Australia are devastating. There are so many wildlife that are injured and need veterinary care now and long-term. It’s going to be a long road to recovery but it’s our promise to you that we will be there every step of the way. We wouldn’t have it any other way.
The short term needs are immense. Thousands of birds, kangaroos, joeys, birds and reptiles Bobtails, owl magpie are in desperate need of treatment. They have been burnt badly and the damage from breathing in the smoke is immense. We are out on the ground rescuing and will continue to do this.
In the longer term these precious animals will require rehabilitation. The road is long. It will be challenging but all our efforts amongst our foster carers and volunteers is saving as many of the wildlife as possible.
When a fire hits, the first hours after our critical for survival. This is now.
We need to raise at least $60,000 to be in a position to treat as many animals as possible. Vet bills and food are the main things we need to cover in the short term.
Our team are all volunteers and are working around the clock. We will continue to do this for as long as it takes. We were put on this planet to rescue and rehabilitate and in these dark times we will do our best. We will not stop, I promise x
Just $5 from each and every one of you would get us to our goal. It’s the cost of your next cup of coffee but one that will literally save wildlife badly injured in these tragic fires.
We receive no government funds so every dollar you donate tonight is just so vital.
I’m really hoping that when I wake up in the morning we have hit our goal. Let’s do this team x.
